Frequently Asked Questions

If there are any questions not listed that you would like an answer to, please send me an email HERE and I will respond to the best of my ability!

Do you deliver every image you shoot?

No. We deliver only the best of the best images to our clients. Any shots that have missed focus, are duplicates, or that are simply test shots are not edited nor delivered.

Do you deliver RAW images along with edited images?

No. A raw image is simply more flat and is supposed to be edited, but enables professional photographers to keep as much information and quality as possible within the file for that edit. It's to be expected that none of the raw photos will be at the level at which our client would want them. In addition, our editing and style is part of our entire process of delivering beautiful photos to our clients, it only makes sense that our edits are required to create an image that's truly indicative of our style.

What are your prices?

Most of our prices are listed on our facebook page HERE. However, our hourly rate is currently set at $150 per hour. For any custom work, weddings, engagements, or event inquiries, please send me an email HERE.

What if I go over my contracted time?

No worries! Stuff happens, things may take longer than planned. We do not pack up ship at the end of our contracted time. We will, at the end of your contracted time (or wedding), ask if you would like to extend your time. If you would like us to stay, or if more time is needed, our hourly rate of $150 per hour per photographer would be charged rounded to the closest 30-minute increment.

What rights do I have to the digital images?

You have the right to reprint images whenever you want. However, you may not sell your images for profit or publish your images without the written consent of Derek Coffman Photography.

How do I reserve you for my date?

All dates are reserved once we have received your signed contract and initial payment.

If we cancel the wedding, will we receive our initial payment back?

Unfortunately no. Initial payments are used to reserve your date. Once we’ve reserved your date, we do not accept new clients for your date.

If we change our wedding to a different date, will we be able to use our retainer fee towards a future date?

Generally no, but this is taken on a case by case basis. The reason for canceling and our availability is taken into account. Also, if rates change from your original date to your new date, the new rates will apply.
